Briana has been practicing matrimonial and family law for nearly 15 years. At the commencement of her legal career, she was a court attorney for a New York County matrimonial judge. The experience provided her with an excellent legal and procedural base. She continues reading nearly every appellate case issued in the downstate region related to matrimonial and family law in order to be current in her legal knowledge.

This knowledge serves her well in all aspects of her practice, from drafting prenuptial agreements to effectively advocating in court. She also represents clients who are engaging in various forms of alternate dispute resolution, such as mediation. She has represented clients in all aspects of family and matrimonial law, from out-of-court agreements and settlements to conducting trials and appeals.

She is co-chair of the Interdisciplinary Forum on Mental Health and Family Law, which is comprised of a select group of the judiciary, attorneys and mental health experts to discuss best practices and issues that arise in custody and visitation proceedings. She is a member of the Matrimonial Law Section of the New York County Lawyers Association, acting as co-chair from 2011 to 2014, a member of the New York Women's Bar Association Matrimonial and Family Law Committee, acting as co-chair from 2009 to 2011, a member of the New York State Bar Association – Family Law Section, and was previously a member of The New York City Bar – Matrimonial Law Committee.
